Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Lauren - founder of Backstage Studio!

I grew up immersed in music and theater, performing from my elementary school years through college at Syracuse University. I trained in vocal performance, spent years on various stages, and discovered early on that performance—and taking creative risks—builds confidence.

My background spans voice, acting, & improv and my approach blends all three. I believe learning to use your voice and thinking on your feet helps children feel more comfortable, capable, and confident—both on stage and in everyday life.

Through Backstage Studio, I offer private voice lessons and coaching in acting and improv for children, creating a supportive, structured space where students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and grow.

What We Do

Backstage Studio was created to give kids a relaxed, supportive space to explore voice, acting, and self-expression without pressure. Our approach is structured, and deeply individualized, meeting each child exactly where they are.

Whether your child is energetic, anxious, seeking self expression or already loves the spotlight, the goal is the same: to help them feel confident, expressive, and proud of themselves—onstage and beyond!

Through Backstage Studio, Lauren offers private coaching focused on confidence, presence, and self-expression for children. Her work blends structure with creativity, helping students feel grounded, prepared, and proud in moments that matter most.

Classes take place in Short Hills, NJ.
